Mr. Surendra Gadgil, General Manager (Materials) Tata Motors welcomed all DICCI Delegates by presenting a bouquet. Tata motors needs support from DICCI to run the Affirmative Action Plan. A documentary was shown by Mr. Kuber about the history of Tata Motors. After that Mr. Surendra Gadgil explained the Affirmative Action Plan of Tata Motors.

Er. Milind Kamble explained that it is necessary to provide business opportunities to Dalit Entrepreneurs to build their businesses. They will prove themselves and will exhibit their capabilities. Mr. Chandrabhan Prasad discussed the topic of Black Capitalism in the USA and explained a brief history and struggle of black people and the black movement there. After that movement, the industries and the US Government agreed to form the Affirmative Action Policy. Now the US Government has made this Policy mandatory to all Government and Private Organizations.

Dr. Amar Singh explained the vision and mission of DICCI. He said that Dalit entrepreneurs didn’t need any sympathy nor any business compromises or any concessions. They need an opportunity to prove themselves. Provide business to Dalit entrepreneurs only on the basis of quality and comparative rates. He said that, “I’m very confident that Dalit entrepreneurs will stand the test.”

There after the DICCI delegation visited the entire company and various departments of Tata Motors.
